Go Maths

Learning and understanding Mathematics, at every level, requires learner engagement. Mathematics is not a spectator sport. Sometimes traditional teaching fails to actively involve students. One way to address the problem is through the use of interactive activities and this web site provides many of those. The Go Maths main page links to more activities designed for students in upper Secondary/High school.

"I began solving this puzzle by thinking about the common product. It must be a number that can be expressed as the multiplication of three numbers in at least three different ways. So when this number is expressed as the product of its prime factors these different numbers are formed by combining the prime factors in different ways. This lead me to the first break through. The prime numbers 5 and 7 are different to the prime numbers 2 and 3 in this range of available numbers. I won’t spoil it for you but I will say that 'trial and improvement' or a 'brute force' approach are not the best strategies to use while trying to solve this puzzle. Good luck."
