  • An excellent set of resources although I do not use the ones which require a list of mathematical terms starting with a specific letter or the "Kim's game" activities. We particularly like the puzzle type activities. I have used several with year 6 and a few with year 5 as well as year 7 and 8.

  • Dear Transum,
We all thought that this starter would be 'solid', but it turned out to be pretty easy, because we are all experts at 3D shapes!
Thanks for giving us an extra 'edge' to our lesson - nobody had to sit in the 'corner' today!
    Love Mr Heeley's stars xxx
  • Mrs O'hagan's 1st Year Class, Holyrood Sec School Glasgow
  •
  • Quite good, but some of the answers were incomplete. A bit difficult to see some of the shapes.
  • Grade 9 Applied Math Class, Port Hope, Ontario, Canada
  •
  • My grade 9 class believes that the Ritz box is a rectangular based prism, not a cuboid, as the faces are not square.
  • Mr Matt, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
  •
  • A cuboid is another name for a rectangular based prism, only a cube must have square faces.
Another great starter by the way.
