  • The square root and percentage questions may just stimulate some discussion about some common misconceptions. Have your students ever found square roots of fractions before? Did they realise that the square root of a number can be larger than the number itself? Did they use their calculator for the percentage question or are they confident to do this sort of calculation in their heads?
